I have been working with sound for theatre productions since I was eleven years old. I always enjoyed working with speaker placement, as well as microphones. During middle school and high school I mostly worked with analog boards and lavalier microphones.
Once in college I have not worked with as much sound design since the theatre program did not do musicals very often. I did sound mixing for Guy Davis during his live performance at the Georgia Theatre Conference in Fall 2011, hosted by Georgia Southern University.
Fall 2012, I was the sound designer for 1940s Radio Hour. I worked with speaker placement as well as six handheld microphones. It was my first time working with a digital board. Our program works with the Yamaha LS9. I worked closely with my professor to learn the board, how it works, and how to record cues to run during the show.
